your in twilight years
such groping existence
should be applauded

a perpetual blessing
reaching transcendentally
the point of no return
in your intoxicated life

full of remorse
full of compunction
as you sit
at the park
trying to grasp
placing one hand
at your face
lips tight
the wrinkles
cannot be erased

as you look back
in your historical past
the lacerated emotion prevails
not to mention
the lassitude
notwithstanding to the contrary
you tend to poison the mind
of the youngsters nowadays

young and aged is incomparable
both have incorporeal rights
of course,
your promenading
at your own pace
you should profit some respect
without minding
the ridicule tucked underneath

the paradox of life
is what you embrace
there despondency lies
all the negativity collide

your recantation
is giving much credence
the realm of your wisdom
is adjunct to your experiences
worthy of accolade
thru then
the query surface
