Undefeated Poem by Desert Life

Undefeated

Your painful deep cut,
A sudden stab to my believing trusting heart,
Yet no single feeble groan came from my mouth.
Silent bleed,
And none others saw this curdling red drip,
Your cold merciless look,
Showed not an iota of mercy,
Gone were the traces of love,
Or was there ever?

I dragged my feeble feet,
To move forward and continue living,
Betrayed, humiliated…
Though wounds will one day heal,
Leaving ugly scars, unseen…
I chose not to be defeated!

Dedicated to a friend who claimed to be 'Simple yet complicated...strong yet fragile and loves purple color'...hmmm!
