Unchained Poem by Eric Paeplow

Unchained

You see the world, within a grain of sand
And heaven, in the pedals of a flower
Held, within the palm of your hand
You live infinity in a blink, eternity in an hour
As dry leaves, before the wild winds fly
And come into the peace of things
As fairies chase the waters, rushing by
You rest within the grace you bring
Your heart, unchained, wild and free
You delight in your imagination
And emerge feeling the sweetest pain
With the smile of serene humility
And to those, who's smiles you bring
But you are neither beast nor God
Nor the siren's song, do you sing
But beg instead, my darling child
Free yourself and come away with me
Into the rushing waters, with fairies close behind
As they follow our unchained hearts
Into the great beyond
