Um...Only the smoothest,
Um...most-rehearsed talkers
Um...are able to overcome the fact
Um...that the intelligent human brain thinks
Um...much faster than we're able to express those thoughts;
Um...that's part of why we all rely on verbal crutches like "um" and "uh."
Um...That said,
Um...overusing these
Um...is highly distracting
Um...and undermines
Um...your credibility.
