Ugly Girl Poem by Holly Jamestone

Ugly Girl

She was scowling and her dreadlocked
Filthy hair appeared to be moving
As maggots swam through the dandruffed locks
That haplessly rested on her shoulders

Her evil, vacant eyes were bottomless
Pools of black with twitching eyelids of hatred
Connected to a face synonymous
With a vicious, ruthless intent

The stench of her breath may as
Well have been a cadaver’s perfume
And the venom spewing from her veins
Selfishly left its calling card on the bus bench

She had no purpose in this world
Other than to covet, enrage and ruin
All goodness she stumbled upon because
Her name was Jealousy
