Two Sides To Everything Poem by Leslie Ching

Two Sides To Everything

Rating: 5.0

There's always two sides to all stories-
It might be sweet and/or gory
It might be fun, but boring too
It might be me, it could be you
But here are the sides to MY story:
I promise it won't be gory...

Glance this way, and you will see
A depressed, lowly, and saddened me:
Dull and grey, low self-esteem
With holes my bleeding heart did teem
My haunting eyes, filled with despair
They no longer were full of care
My homework was always late
My calendar-not up to date
My number of A's had sadly shrunk
Seemed altogether I would flunk.
What I wouldn't do to change-
My life I'd prefer to exchange;

Or look right up, and you will find
This energetic soul of mine:
Smiling, happy, ready to learn
A little girl who waits her turn
Her bright eyes just show it all
She always stands up straight and tall
She listens to her mom and dad
The best manners she always had
She dressed tidily every day
For her own things she did pay
She shared her candy with her friends
When Halloween had come to end;

But alas, sadly, she did not last
She died the previous year past
This little angel withered away
And Emo Girl had come to stay...
