Two Flowers In The Light Poem by Vlad Mutuleanu

Two Flowers In The Light

I stand aback and watch
My dear beloved flowers
But only two stand out
Among the many others.

One white, mysterious and innocent
That tells me it`s alright
When everything surrounding me,
Just tells me I am lost.

The other black, welcoming, attractive,
It pulls me in and kicks me out
And leaves me breathless
Whenever I´m around.

The two so different
Yet beautiful in their own way
Addicted to them both
I watch them in despair.

Now every flower that I see
However beautiful it just may be
Has just reflections of them both
Still, not mysterious as the white
Nor attractive as the black.

But though obsessed, addicted and enchanted
With their own beauty all day long
At night I go to sleep alone
With neither one around.

Yet when I wake up,
They´re both still there,
The same in day or night
And every time I look them
I think I see the the light.
