Twilight Days Poem by Dana Lamb

Twilight Days

After you left
Twilight days began
The world became a tomb
Where no human voices are heard
And all words are meaningless
And every hour is a prison sentence
I have become a stranger to myself
I walk and talk and laugh
I sleep with strangers
To banish all memories of you
Yet you are always here with me
Still being a witness
You are a hideous cat
That stalks me down
Your treacherous soft tread
And you catch up with me
While I am trying to escape
And become invisible for you
Hiding in the twilight
