Twilight And Mist Poem by Bobby Mitchum

Twilight And Mist

Rating: 3.5

In the Twilight of my dwindling years
my mind dimmed by the mist of time,
I still often think of you
And I hold You in this Heart of Mine.
Through times Twilight and Mist,
Your Memory shines like a far away Star
once held in these Mortal Arms,
but now only loved from afar.
The Mist of Time and the Twilight of passing Years
shall not dim your Memory in my heart,
nor erase the memory of your smiling lips
though time and circumstance have set us a part,
and our love may only be a fleeting memory
half remembered in a forgotten dream.
Yet the memory of You shall not be forgotten
though time and memory roll away like a flowing stream
that carries a lost feather to the sea.
