Twenty-Zero-Six Poem by Jessica Lindsey

Twenty-Zero-Six

Excruciating, nauseating confessions
Amazed at your revealing professions
As all that was hidden is shown
And you find that all along they had known.
And though your faults were not hid from their caring eyes
They've chosen to love instead of despise.
This,
Love in its truest form-
Pure, beautiful and everlasting.
And this is what you feel for me
This love without description
Overlooking faults and flaws
As if they were only fiction.
If somehow I could find a way
To keep your love until the day
Death decides to close its jaws
On yet another helpless victim.
Until our souls unite once more
On Heaven's fair and hurtless shore
Where pain and sorrow are no more
And there our hearts dwell evermore
Living, loving as before.
