Turn You Loose Poem by Marcquiese Burrell

Turn You Loose

you need to know
It left me surprised
we could've had a love
but it never materialized
so now you're walking out
tell me what that's about?
See that kindled flame has died
because of it wasn't for you
you wouldn't have been denied

thought you had enough potential to be
someone who'd mean something more to me
you contradict yourself
found someone different every night
and then you wonder why
I've faded out your life

I loved you more than I loved playful flirty dates
once upon a time I thought love concealed our fate
Cause I opened my heart, given you my everything
but that was all before the heat slowly started perishing
