Whenever you need a friend
a light to guide your way
I will always be there
whenever you're feeling down

I will be your pillow when you cry
whenever you start to weep
just lay your weary head on me
hush darling now sleep
and I will carry your worries away

Whenever you need a love to care
all you have to do is just turn around
and you will feel me in the wind
softly blowing through your hair

Like a gentle rain that's passing by
forever by your side I will stand
to comfort you and hold your hand
