Tuesday's Tune Poem by Yvonne Livingstone Kania

Tuesday's Tune

Your dedicated tune
Which played on
That dreadful Tuesday
Goes through my mind
and presents a sound

Since you've gone
I've seen no other face
but yours
even my own reflection
seems to mimic it
I reach for your mirage
and you fade away
I try to hold you
only to find myself
clenching fists

I'm still here
And life goes on
it feels like a dream
on sleepless nights
Dreaming of the time
when you could still vow
to love me always
