Tryst With Winds Poem by indira babbellapati

Tryst With Winds

Rating: 5.0

i stood still in the southwest balcony
savouring the washed landscape
after a brisk monsoon shower
for sometime when the heat
emnating from my body
made me restive
i thought it's the day's heat
that the rain threw up hitting
hard on my sensitive nerves
o, no!
the unsettling heat turned
me into a child playing
with fire in sheer boredom
after returning from school...
from nowhere winds
began to blow and
i was forced abandon the play
lest winds and fire conspire

whispering winds
sweeping winds
uplifting winds

i desperately tried holding
my body steady against
the teasing winds...

ha, it's then i knew
that i was in fact struggling
against the winds
of your passion and
the fire that burned me
was the fire of desire
that you kindled...

far beyond
i spotted a lone bird
circling in the sky

You blend so well with the elements of nature. Fiery Passion! I wish every passing moment enhances your sensitiveness. '......i was forced abandon the play lest winds and fire conspire ' I liked these lines the most.
