Trying To Trust
Trying hard to trust
Poisoned by too much pain
Memories morph with reality
Reeling me in from moving on.
Every happy thought
Thumped by a lump
In the throat
With every toast
I taste the venom in the vine
Every morn wondering
When the axe will fall
Heart will break
Life will shatter
Every day say
It doesn't matter
Live in the moment
Try to trust.
Bravo! You spoke your heart out with honesty and courage! This is the time to move on for the Past can not be modified, Tomorrow is just an illusion or wish and nothing else matters but Today!
