Truth Lies Far Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

How helpless we are!
Truth lies very far
We are creating fool
When glass seems not full

We give thanks to almighty
For showing day light with mercy
At the same acting so arrogantly
Not treating fellow brethren silently

We claim to be human
“We openly advocate being noble man”
Human being may commit an error
And so on to save face before mirror

Why are we not pleading guilty?
Instead of showing inconsistency
And repeating same helplessness
But at the same time showing ugliness

Words may look good
But its essence is not understood
Prayers are good and so is the intention
But it has no relevancy or relation

We are involved in all sorts of inhuman acts
Right from treachery, deception and subverting facts
We know for sure that reprieve may come easily
But beware! You always look fool and silly
