Truth Is Rebellion Poem by Ray Lucero

Truth Is Rebellion

George Orwell once said;

“Telling the truth is rebellion”

For these words, many have suffered
Some branded “Heretics” by religion
Others denounced as “Traitors” by government
A few declared “Bohemians” by society

Yet truth persists, like water against stone
An irresistible force propelled by knowing souls

Rebel Brethren…rebel until your numbers swell,
enough to change the course of chaos

Lift not your hand to smite, rather extend both,
hands to uplift a brother in need

Two then become one…multiplied a billion times over,
until peace and harmony prevail…

Humankind living in harmony with the perfection of Nature
