Truth Poem by Jonathan H. Scott

Truth

Rating: 3.0

Within the sanctum of the Truth,
Away from all charades;
'tis there that lies the bloom of youth
Before the blossom fades.

The way unto this solemn place
One needn't travel very far—
Though once inside and face to face,
‘tis hard to reach the bar.

It takes a special kind of man
To enter there within;
To fairly judge a life's full span
And so admit his sin.

Fear not to enter deep inside,
Though no one will applaud—
There does a perfect peace abide;
‘tis you and but your God.
