Trust Me Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

Trust Me

Yes, hoist
And insist
“Trust me”
You will feel independent and free

You may really feel
Citizen at free will
No concern for personal life or property
You will always feel delightful and happy

“My sonar desh” or my golden country
As we sing to make it heavenly
Where you are not neglected
And proudly felicitated

You shall have pride in taking birth
On such a land where you shall have peaceful breathe
No controversy or compromise on faith
That shall not force you to choose between life and death

Such kind of land shall always be my dream
It may seem wish of scene in film
But my poor brethren and citizens come forward
To celebrate independence with hopeful words

“Humanity” must be made preamble
Where not people but representatives must struggle
Bring about changes in concept
Make democracy work and response must be prompt
