Trust Poem by George Knott

Trust

Rating: 4.0

Friends and their friendship.
I often wish,
That both were permanent.

Unfortunately,
things change,
People leave.

Be it due to circumstance,
A word said in anger,
Or an emotion given voice.

In this complicated world,
We live in,
Staying true is hard.

Friendship requires trust.
But trust is a commodity,
Few can afford.

But despite this
I'm going to try for a friend,
And another if that one ends.

Because having someone,
You can trust is a bigger pleasure,
Than anything else.
