Trust Poem by Paula M. Puddephatt

Trust

Trust, so pure -
it can be broken -
shattered.

Words that cause deep hurt
can be forgiven, but - once said -
such words can never be
unspoken.

The threads that hold
us together
in this life
are as fragile
as they are precious,
and irreplaceable.

Trust, so pure -
it can be broken
in a moment,
having taken weeks, months,
years,
or a lifetime,
to form.
