True Love Poem by Rosetta Dove

True Love

My past haunts me, my fears are coming true.

Evil thoughts fill my head; I don’t know what’s true anymore.

I saw you and I knew that you would never think about us.

A voice saying to let the moment pass by but I didn’t want to.

I thought that I could be happy with you and once I was right.

First time in a long time, I’m happy and I don’t want this to ever end.

It’s only been a short time, but it feels like its been forever.

One day, you will slip away from my grasp, just like everything else.

But before that day comes, I will keep you in my arms like no other.

I love you and nothing will ever change that, my love.
