True Love Poem by Anthony Dover

True Love

Rating: 5.0

Long time ago,
Sunshine youth,
Met a girl,
Love crept inside,
He denied and denied,
And eventually she cried.
Now sunshine youth,
Wandered long and far,
At night, at day, through storms and seas,
Woods, deserts, trees,
Beaten and chased and imprisoned,
Burnt, Weary and lovelorn,
No more was he sunshine youth,
He was scarred and tousled,
Full of knowledge and autumnal,
Heart of hearts, what could that be,
He had thought, her to me,
Now I understand after all these years,
That true love was the sum of all my fears.
