True Friendship Poem by Dorsey Baker

True Friendship

Rating: 3.5

There was a little old man
that lived in a small
brick house
who people say
looked and smelled
very bad
because he never bathed
or changed clothes
very often!
People hated the way he looked
and the way he smelled
People did not want
to be around him
but he never really tried
to influence them
to do so
but he had a dog called Grateful
who did not seem to mind
what he looked like
or what he smelled like
they remained close friends
until the day that
the old man died
Grateful loved him so much
he died too!
