True Friends Poem by Susan Wall

True Friends

There is a person I love as my friend
we never knew each other way back when.
I do believe God had a plan
when He did send Chris my way.
We have said things sometimes
that hurt each other but truly
it was a misunderstanding.
We always mend our mistakes
before the next day break.
Chris you’re the kind of man
that would be, a country girls dream.
We laugh and relate to each other
we both have the battle scars.
life has not always been, so kind to either one.
Yet we are there to lend our heart to care.
We share a friendship that
I do believe he holds dear.
I never need to fear, Chris hurting me
I know he is always near
when I need that special someone to care.
This may sound weird to hear
we never meet in person yet.
Even knowing that: heres never been a guy
that meant so much to me.
That I would have considered my friend
