True Freedom Poem by Kiera Price

True Freedom

A life in a world of true freedom.
Wouldn't that be perfect?
True freedom.
No hate, no lies, no hurt.
Farfetched, way farfetched.
So they say...
But is it really?
How hard could it be?
To simply accept people for who they are?
Not for looks, not for attitude, not for normality.
For the part that's hidden inside.
The part that only God can see.
He accepted them...
Why can't we?
Wouldn't it be perfect?
Living in a world of true freedom?
Nothing but acceptance and love?
Freedom is like that with God.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
This is, obviously, a free verse poem I created in english one day. We were reading a book on freedom and rights, when it hit me that we really don't have TRUE freedom. We have rights and stuff, but not what we truly want. WE don; t have acceptance, we don't have the abounding love for each other that God has for us. And I just though it would be nice if we did. So thats how this poem came to be.
