True Existenz Poem by Chris Leermakers

True Existenz

The Balls Of Glowing Gases
Never Look The Same Way
They’re Twinkling In The Sky
At A Zillion Miles Away
Massive Immovable Objects
Yet Moving All The Time
Always Getting Larger
The Question In The Back Of My Mind
Imagine The Great Distances
That Separate Each Lonely Star
Imagine It, How Can You
No Matter How Advanced You Are
Our Existence Is Truly Enigmatic
Yes, True Existence
True Existenz We All Are

At Night
I See The Stars Moving
I Wonder At The Sight
Or Are We Just Spinning
In The Infinite Sky Tonight
Hydrogen And Elements Found
In Our Domain To This Day
They Act As Fuels For Such Light And Sound
Life Within The Milky Way
Stars Stand For Things Far And Wide
Any Places, Any Thing
Constellations That Just Can’t Hide
Or Can They, An Enigmatic Thing
Yet, This We Do Not Know
Don’t Think We Could Handle It
Otherwise We’d Try And Go
Already, Thus Departed
Turn And Face A Different Star
You Don’t Know Just How Lucky You Are
Are You Really Interested
Or Has The Sight
Been Taken In For Granted

Nothing Is Impossible
The Difficulties And Risks May Increase
These Can Be Adaptable
Otherwise Our Dreams Will Cease
Minds Travel At An Extraordinary Pace
The Hopes And Dreams, They Don’t Resist
For There Is No Time And Space
And No Boundaries That Exist
To Think We Are Alone
We’d Have To Be Naïve
For In The Twilight Zone
They Mislead To Deceive
Our Galaxy Is But One Of Many
There Are So Many Far Away
Will We Ever Reach One
Well Maybe One Day…
