True Beauty Poem by Paul Sebastian

True Beauty

You unveil your unique beauty
Like sunrise, enthralling me
Your presence fast-beats my heart
Everything in me seems to fall apart
Lost in you, my limbs go listless
My nights are long and sleepless
You impact, change me inside out!
Your true beauty ties us into a knot.

Why do you enchant me?
What delightful mystery!

Beauty is not in your eyes that speak
Nor it is in your sensuous tender lips
It is not your lovely curly hair
Nor it is in your dressing flair
Certainly, not in your complexion
Not in your body endowments
See, it does not rest in your appearance!
Beauty is beyond one’s observance:

Your real beauty lies in, who you are:
Kind, trusting, accepting, going far
In patience: readily active- listening
Unselfishly giving, heart out-reaching;
Appreciating: not taking me for granted
When I ebb, you embrace and comfort
Witty, silly cracks and nuances, exploding laughs
Impulsive plans and outings made in a huff….

You find ways to communicate with me
And go the extra-mile to make me see
Myself in the mirror: gently inviting me to grow
A kind of inner beauty you emanate and glow
Impacting me to strive and become my best
You made the person I am. I am most blessed!
You are more precious than all the jewels
Sent as a gift from heaven’s city of angels

You and I, bond together
Born to live for each other
And to die loving each other.
