Tropical Sunset Poem by Anders Lim

Tropical Sunset

Releasing all my stress and work
I stare up at the orange sky
Glancing upon the thin horizon
Like the seagulls, my soul will fly
Flapping its wings while crying out to nature
To the orange blanket, it flew up high

On this beach, I sit on the earth’s sand
This rough, yet smooth relaxing hall
I screamed out all my worries and fears
As a breeze blew by, nature heard my call
Clouds drifted pass little low heavens
Covering the red fiery ball

Ah Yes, the red fiery ball
Hovering down low in space
Blinding my eyes, it shone to bright
Its warmth cooled down my face
Descending smoothly into nature’s hills
It slowly disappeared with grace

Hiding itself from my eyes
It disappeared into the night
A dark blanket engulfed the sky
Clearing my vision and sight
As if the sun dispersed into a million stars
Each glowing ball shone up bright
