Triumphant Score Poem by Cash Onadele

Triumphant Score

I.
In your kindness I am satisfied,
Comforted in life’s raging sea of troubles,
Nurtured; where you quench my tiring thirst,
Waves of your love whet now my strength.
II.
My given heart seeks to care; now,
Return good, like you showed me,
Under our quilt of enduring love,
I have learned to share it all.
III.
Winds of adversity; blow you may!
Matters not; my dazzling lover is with me,
I am confident not discomfited,
Assured even more in gentle kindness.
IV.
I have promises of good fortunes,
While they jest, jive and jeer,
Yet would they not watch?
When my sure abundance flows.
V.
When wild, whirling, winds winnow,
I doubt not this prevailing future,
When the trumpets blow,
Here with you, would I stand always.
