Tribute To The Men And Women In Blue
Patrolling the streets every night and day
Protecting our livelihood come whatever may
Flying an airplane or even riding in a boat
Throwing a life jacket to keep someone afloat
Sirens can be heard ringing loud and clear
Everybody knows that a fire is burning near
Climbing a ladder to put out the fiery flames
Searching the buildings and calling out names
Responding to calls with all of your might
Walkie Talkies never leaving your sight
Safeguarding our homes and our loved ones too
All hail to the brave men and women in blue
Tireless and unwavering in all that you do
Worthy of your calling and lots of honor too
Leaving your loved ones in the time of trouble
When disaster strikes sifting through the rubble
To all the great men and women in blue
Words can never express our love for you
So very tried and true many thanks to all
Responding to our needs and to our every call

Society could not function without them - great write Patricia.
Recently in many parts of Kerala, (India) where we live, we had a great flood and landslide in which many were killed. But the rescue operators and fire squad ran to the rescue of many. Their relentless and adventurous efforts, forgetting their own lives brought things under control and many people were dugged out and brought back to life from the slushy, slimy soil! The great service they render is often taken for granted! Your tribute to these valiant people is to be appreciated much! A great write Patricia! ! I invite you to read my poem.... Amid All Cares! It was inspired by the recent suffering of people, I directly witnessed!

Beautiful Tribute to the Men and Women in Blue..They save the lives of other, endangering their lives too. When Their beloved ones too require them during troubled time, they cannot be with them..Their duty comes first.. Beautiful poem. Loved reading it.
