Tribute To Somebody Poem by Emmanuel Odei Oduro

Tribute To Somebody

Buried in the bosom of your brothers
Whose balminess bristle your borders,
Ensuring you are smoothly secured
Promising all needs properly procured
What a God-favoured person

You are a rare creature
I am proud of your nature
Precious principles persistently preserved
Styles and statutes consistently conserved
Negative ambitions cheekily curtailed
Forefather’s features firmly retained
I salute you my somebody

Small, short and skinny somebody
Nonetheless not a half person
I admire your grit
Advancing at your own rhythm
Robustly refusing to be pushed
Resiliently resisting the push to rush
Retaining your revealing rareness
Maintaining your massive majesty
That identity of devastating dignity
You deeply deserve a decoration

I am proud of you
For defending whom you are
Preserving your prosperity
Thus conserving your custom
And protecting your praise
As a legacy, plainly priceless
For subsequent generations
And as an amusement to aliens
Blessed with the singular privilege
Of enjoying your unique presence

You are a role model
Accept a huge bundle of salute
I am proud of you.
Your ancestors are proud of you.
Posterity will be proud of you
Keep it up my Man
