My sweet Lord,
May I forget the whole world to spend time in adoring you for a moment,
To reflect, to sing praise, to love, to be loved, to adorn
A most solemn tribute, worthy of my Lord and King.
In all things, all accomplishments, I have received from Divine providence;
For simply, I am your most unworthy humble instrument,
A 'leaky Pen' as my beloved friend once said, so truly;
Without your divine inspiration, what could I compose
Besides my saddened sentimental pieces or arrogant rants, worth to be disposed.
Dear Lord,
If beloved, I am like you;
If sweet, I am like you;
If patient, I am like you;
If endurant, I am like you;
If kind, I am like you;
If gentle, I am like you;
If humble, I am like you;
If unselfish, I am like you;
If childish, I am like you;
If unassuming, I am like you;
If bold, I am like you;
If foolish for love, I am like you;
If all for love, I am like you;
In all things, may I be like you.
Amen
(Poet friends, please pay tribute to my Lord and King
In my place.)
