Trees Poem by Tom Krause

Trees

Trees start out bending with the wind.
As their roots deepen
they grow strong.
They weather the seasons,
they survive the storms.
Through it all they remain steadfast.

Trees provide the comfort of shade
on a hot day.
They provide beautiful color
in the midst of Fall.
They provide oxygen for
living things to breathe.

Trees don't draw a lot
of attention.
But like an old friend,
when they are gone
we miss them.
