Tree Of This Love Poem by Rites Ghosh

Tree Of This Love

So many miles,
so many miles-
you sprouted high
with all green endowments:
leaves' silk, twig's art of twining,
bark's smooth blanket,
root's clutch, web like
right down under
brown soil of urge

went up to sun's whisper
to suck warmth and glaze;
when birds jointly bring
their musical empire,
your summer world emerges
different and sumptuous-

too far from me,
from higher up,
you mean me shadowy little
only by your royal decree-
but I stand complacent
once I planted the seed of
your imperishable gesture:
my unknown love grew your
difference.
