Tree Of Life Poem by Ron Cervero

Tree Of Life

Rating: 5.0

While moving in formation on streets of gold,
my soul was pure, and finished.
The tree of life…
Today’s menu … Ruby encrusted pear slices,
and fellowship with the King of Kings.
The latter being an imperishable food,
and drink for the ages.
Some came to this God on a razor thin trail.
Most said NO.
How did I know that this one was the one?
A tugging inside, and gentle wooing in love… truth.
A real reality not corrupted by the evil one.
Believing is a heart move, not a head-trip.
The Kings people have traded in their rags,
for a gown of precious blood.
All prompted by the GREAT I am…
The dark eye patch fell to the ground.
The stony heart has exploded in flesh,
and our King is the King of the universe.
The creator of worlds. Science missed the train,
but a glowing rush picked up the lowly,
With nail scarred hands now again free from chains.
The blood was left on a tree,
and the invitation is still open for you…
As it was for me…The Christ of the living God knocks.
Who will open the door?
