Treasured Advice Poem by Peggy Owens

Love is in all of us its in you and its in me.
I’m going to give you some treasured advice, so listen very carefully.
I was given something, something so real.
Nothing I can really explain, more of something I could feel.
It was something I had wanted so badly, I just give up hope.
Didn’t know where to turn or just how to cope.
And it just came to me one day from God up above.
I couldn’t believe my eyes, he had sent me someone to love.
I guess I hadn’t stopped hoping or believing in him.
He still had me by the shirt sleeve when life seemed so dim.
He said spread those wild love seeds, so everyone can be,
more of what you feel than of that of what you see.
Life isn’t so much how we see it, but its more of how we feel.
So we can all have brighter days and its such a wonderful way to heal.
This treasured advice was given to me from God up above.
He not only gave me advice, he gave me someone to love.
I like to share what God shares with me.
But just like God said my child, "listen very carefully."
