Treasure Poem by Lauren Saari

Treasure

You’ll never guess
what kind of chest
I found at the bottom of the sea

I fought through the sea and cold
and though the legend for told
that again it will never be seen

It was me who found
on the ocean sea the ground
the chest, and what a beauty it be

but I’m glad to say
that on this very day
what’s in the chest is not what it seems

For what’s in this trunk
is nothing but junk
What really counts is the remarkable journey
