Trayvon Poem by Holly Jamestone

Trayvon

A young boy walked alone one night
And simply wore a hood
As a villain preyed nearby
Thinking this ain’t good

The young lad fought a fight that he
Should never have been shown
But somehow in our messed-up world
Common sense was thrown

The young boy is in Heaven now
The predator nearby
May never see those pearly gates
Nor God’s grace in the sky

I agree with you that this was an injustice.
