Traveling Afar Through A Motionless Peaceful Journey Poem by James Darwin Smith II

Traveling Afar Through A Motionless Peaceful Journey

Tired eyes consumed by the skies
So much open space
Oh, If only I could fly
Far away, So far away
To a place where walls are shattered
Where souls are seen more than anything
In a utopia where hearts are truly felt
And where minds feel at ease

No assumptions would be great
Never being misunderstood ever again
Unconditional love a non-fictional theme I dream
Upon this imaginative scene
Full of spiritual peace
And serenity beyond comprehension

As these eyes grow heavier
I wish to travel on
Upon an astral projection
Through the wormholes of infinite bliss
Well beyond the limits of judgement’s dead end
Into many dimensions upon my soul’s content
In this divine journey full of promises kept

As these eyes begin to close
I pray for a quick deepened sleep
So my subconscious can take over
Delivering me to uncharted realms
Sacred realms full of unlimited possibilities

Hopes are high
Beyond the cloudy skies
Traveling for warmth
Searching for light
Taking flight like never before

No more fear
Sadness ceases to exist
Depression no more
If only I could call this place my permanent home

Sick of only traveling with closed eyes
If only open eyes gave me unlimited places to roam

Hybrid dreams
That is what I truly wish for
What does it all mean?
It means my wish would finally come true

Eyes open, Eyes shut
Dreams combined
Making far away, so near, yet, so dear

Ambitions come and get me
No matter where I am
I will always be right here
