Trapped Poem by Tondana Fatimah Seebaway

Trapped

Break your banks and pave the way
Open your gates so I can fly away
For I am trapped in this place
And time is running at a fast pace

Stay calm and set me free
So into the world I'll flee
And put in place prudent measures
To seek the earth's treasures

In the vast open space lies my success
And in my head are confined great ideas
I need to journey to find the key
To unlock the doors of my victory

Do not stand in my way of blessing
Do not teach me a bitter unforgettable lesson
I beseech you to grant me your cooperation
It's only a matter of time, do reason
And release me from this prison
