Transparent Leaf Poem by Iris Mista

Transparent Leaf

The battle within
Without words
Nowhere to go

Ought to be
Forever Alone
Never complete

My fate
I was born
Not real

She said so
And told me
Bantling you are

no human being

Locked once more
My half heart
In empty darkness

Worthless
Useless
For real, for real!

I always knew

Never meant to be

She knew it too

Once I disappear
Unnoticed
Transparent leaf
