Tragedy

Heart broken and shattered
like the leg of the heroine
Who took a bullet for her friend
Then rushed to pull the fire alarm
To alert the authorities,
a true act of heroism,
a friend in need is a friend indeed,
A friend threatened is a friend to save,
Two lives lost upon a day of madness,
The sadness, the heartbreak, oh, the pain,
Of the boyfriend who lost his girl
Shot by an inhuman murderer,
Leaving behind children and family
A tragedy to mourn
the unjust passing of their loved one
