Tossed Aside Poem by David Harris

In today’s society,
we are careless with things.
Most broken pieces
that could easily be mended
are just tossed aside.
It is not only material things,
human beings fall from grace
so easily to technology
becoming rejected
and eventually tossed aside.
It is as if anything said to be
passed their sell by date
is hastily thrown away.
Hopefully one day
we will come to realise technology
isn’t the be all to end all
and more knowledge
through hard work and experience
will not be hastily tossed aside.
