Torture Of Boredom Poem by sania harris

Torture Of Boredom

Its freezing, it’s chilly
And the fountain’s trickling slow
I put on a jacket and sit to write
I let my mind stroll, I let my mind free

No thoughts run in my mind
Its void, not in my control
Looking like it has tasted freedom
It’s running free, away from me!

I look around again
Just to see if anyone bothered to smile
But everyone seemed in their own world
Playing and laughing, enjoying their best

I am not lonely, but now I feel so
Not hungry, but my tummy rumbles
Feel so numb, but I can feel the wind on my face
I look around again…things are still the same

I sigh! And now I understand
This is the agony …torture of boredom!
