Torn Star Poem by Beth Johnson

Torn Star

For a special lady
who's life was shady

Brought us so much joy
with nothing but her voice

Fame hit you when young
and from fame you're from

An actor or voice
you left little choice

But to embrace one of the best
but life brought unhappiness

Drugs and abuse
you had a lot to lose

Twenty years of fame
all that left is pain

You were a star we'll miss
you brought much happiness

It's a shame you were abused
by a husband you choosed.

Wish you had choose a wise path R.I.P.

The title you chose for this poem wraps it all up as a tribute to a famous person who had it all but lost it. It's an excellent style and I use it often - gets the readers to ask why that title? And as they read though the poem they get the message. Makes them think.
