Torn Between Two Lives Poem by David Harris

Torn Between Two Lives

Rating: 5.0

Torn between two lives,
the one I have
and the one I want.
The one that I live
and the one I dream about.

Torn between two lives,
the one I want
to escape from
to the one I want
to escape to.

Torn between two lives,
reality and fantasy.
One holds no promise,
while the other holds
all I ever wanted to be.

This is a fine poem David - one of your best. It has just the right balance between the thoughtful content and the well scripted structure. I guess writing poetry allows you to 'have your cake and eat it', eh? Love, Allie ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
