Too Tired To Search For Him Now Poem by Christine Ann Young

Too Tired To Search For Him Now

It's really hitting me hard this time
I feel like nobody's child
Nobody's friend
Nobody's lover
When in reality I possess what I disavow - save the lover
Still, I am far removed from those who claim me as such
Far removed from them now

And the lover?
It was hard losing him after all these years
In my heart I'm still hoping he'll come back
While in my mind I concede the existence
Of another to be his wife
I'm too tired to search for the second man
I can love as much
Too tired to search for him now
