Too Loud The Silence Poem by R B Seals

Too Loud The Silence

Rating: 5.0

Don’t exactly know
When I fell from grace,
Nor—too—the wedding vows
That couldn’t keep pace;

Don’t know the reasons that
Resigned you to lover’s place,
The lifestyle changes you’ve chosen
And the family you now embrace.

What is known is the unknown
Future our children now face,
Grounded in memories of rejection
Efforts to contrary will not erase.

Chosen lifestyle changes often spill over...to change the lives of those innocents standing along side. A poignant depiction of this truth! You school us well.... PEACE

I believe someone once said, better late than never. Somehow I managed to overlook that I didn't respond in a timely manner to your accurate assessment of the true victims in such situations, Susan. Thank you so much for your contribution to the writing...take care!

A sad poem on the death of love, and as frequently happens, the children frequently suffer the most.

Yes, a concise, accurate description of an all-too-prevalent condition in society today. Thanks for your input regarding this writing, Darla!
