Tonic Pain Poem by Soumita Sarkar

Tonic Pain

Who can convince me?
Who is sane here to guide me?
Who can stop my mind?

Its howling
at a heart pace
It is not abiding
any more
My orders are failing
Falling apart
is my restrain
My logic is lame
My reason is small
My panic is massive
My tonic is pain

Who knew a piece of mine
Shall gain so prominence
Only when it has left me
Forsaken
Forbidden zone rings
A rage of passion boil
in a flush
in a jam
in a forest
in a lightning
in a cruel master
in a disobedient head
in a fire
in a room locked
in a store
in a shadow
with no wisdom
through a window
of illogical wave
called love
